ÉVORA WALKING TOUR | A World Heritage City in the Heart of Alentejo

If you have just a couple of hours to visit the region of Alentejo, Évora is definitely the place you want to be. According to your Guide and to many Experts, Évora is, along with Lisbon and Oporto, one of the three most interesting cities to visit in Portugal, and it is the Highlight of any trip to Alentejo.


On this Tour you will be able to visit the beautiful city of Évora and to immerse yourself in its rich history. Its outstanding past and excellent conservation made this city a World Heritage Site and a must-see in Alentejo. Here, every cobblestone, each corner hides world-class monuments that will focus your attention during the whole visit.


This unique atmosphere can be felt inside the City Walls, more specifically in the Old Town, where we will be amazed by the Church of St. Francis and its surprising Chapel of the Bones, and in its narrow roads that lead to the heart of the city: the Giraldo Square. Continuing up, we will walk through the busy 5 de Outubro Street, full of Souvenirs Shops, till we reach the sumptuous 12th Century Cathedral and the millennium-old Roman Temple dedicated to the Roman emperor Augustus.
